Trinity Stars: Young Performers in English - Week 3

Friday 24th July 2020

For students aged 6-11 years

The Trinity Stars Award provides young learners with the opportunity to prepare a group performance in English (to include songs, poems, dialogues or stories). Learning through drama, music and performance for this award motivates children, builds confidence, communication and collaboration skills whilst improving memorisation of a new language.

There are four awards: stages 1, 2 and 3, and a School Show award. Teachers will advise on which stage is most suitable depending on the students' previous experience of learning English.

Teacher and students' preparation leads to a grup performance lasting 5 -30 minutes in front of a Trinity Stars Expert. Each participant is immediately awarded a medal, and some weeks later also receives a Trinity Stars certificate. For young learners the Trinity Stars award provides a great introduction to Trinity College London qualifications.

Practice for this award takes place during club time. The final performance will take place at Glastonbury campus at the end of week 3 and week 6.
