b'Easter 10-17 yearsMillfield is proud to offer a unique Easter Course, where studentsaged between 10-17 years can attend forone week (1st April8th April or 8th15th April)two weeks (1st April15th April )Students will have at least 15 hours of English tuition per week with trained teachers to develop their English language skills. All students attend 3 hours of English classes during the mornings five days a week. Students are tested on arrival and placed into classes after taking factors including level, age, gender and nationality into account. In order to expose the students to two different styles of teaching and two different accents, each class is allocated two teachers. Each student will receive a Course and Vocabulary Organiser, written by the Director of Holiday Courses, Mark Greenow, which is an essential part of the academic programme and is used in every lesson. In the afternoons students can choose one of the activities below to take part in:Extra English- Students will be assigned to one of the following options based on their age and initial placement test score. Get Ahead English (ages 10-13, A2/B1) - This course is for younger students who want to accelerate their English learning. There will be a focus on expanding vocabulary as well as developing academic study skills. Sessions will include teamwork skills, listeningand note-taking, time management, Cambridge AssesmentEnglish Key and Preliminary taster sessions, adapted KS2/KS3 subject-based lessons, paragraph writing, developing readingskills and presentation skills. Academic English (ages 14-17, B1+) - This course is designed for students considering future school or university education in the UK. Sessions will include IELTS/Cambridge Assessment English, research skills, report writing, academic essay writing, listeningand note taking, presentation skills, KS3 and KS4 subject-based lessons and how to apply for a British university place.Sports & Recreation An opportunity for students to discover new talents. Each afternoon students are able to choose from a wide range of activities including sporting and non-sporting options withan emphasis on fun.Academies Cooking, Golf and Rock.The course also includes a full social programme, plus one full dayand one half day excursion per week, including London and Oxford.OFFERFor 2020 we are offering students the opportunity to 12 book the first week and get the second week at half price.'
