Cross Campus Events all campuses join together for our biggest events

Three campuses, one family!

On the Millfield English Language Holiday Courses action-packed activities and events provide a memorable experience for all.

Uniquely, all campuses are brought together for large events to participate in a wide variety of exciting activities such as the Rock Festival, Millfield the Musical, Summer Fete and many more.

Please note that the activities on offer change daily and not all activities will be available every week.

Unforgettable Evenings every night is different with a variety of activities on offer

A full social programme is provided at each campus, making every moment special. This ensures that every student is kept busy and has maximum opportunity to practise English whilst making friends with students from around the world in a fun and enjoyable environment.

A stunning programme of evening activities provides the fun that delivers the true ‘Millfield experience.’

At some of the big evening events all campuses join together, giving students the opportunity to meet up with friends and siblings based at other campuses.

Evening activities include the Millfield Extravaganza, Water Olympics, Discos, Talent Shows, House Song Competitions, and so much more.

Excursions one full day and one half day excursion every week

Students enjoy one full day and one half day excursion every week. A careful balance of active, historical, fun and educational excursions are provided. Students are accompanied by Millfield staff at all times who provide help and guidance and ensure students are using spoken English.

Teachers incorporate excursion experiences into lessons, enabling students to take their education beyond the classroom.

Examples of Wednesday excursions (full day):

Theme Parks - Thorpe Park and Woodlands
City Tours - Oxford, Exeter, Bath and Bristol
Seaside Trips - Bournemouth and Lyme Regis
Castles and Museums - Cardiff Castle and Science Museum

Examples of Saturday excursions (half day):

Glastonbury, Wells, Roman Baths, Wookey Hole Caves, Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Clubs an opportunity to try new activities with friends

After the students’ afternoon academies, there are a variety of clubs on offer for them to enjoy.

This is an opportunity for them to try something new or join with friends in the same activity.

Rewards a selection of prizes awarded daily

Prizes are awarded throughout the courses to students who show outstanding progress, or whose effort in sports or competitions is exceptional.

There is a daily ‘Top Banana’ award with a T-shirt being given to the best students of the day and the ultimate prize is ‘Best Boy/Girl’.

Students are also given awards for completing their Course and Vocabulary Organiser among other things.
